The Man of Many Genres with Keith Kareem Williams

The Man of Many Genres with Keith Kareem Williams

Audra Russell chats with author Keith Kareem Williams.

Keith Kareem Williams is the author of over 20 books and 7 screenplays. He still resides in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York, where he delicately balances his time between his responsibilities as a single father and the challenges of being a full-time author.

In interviews, one of the most difficult questions he’s been asked is, ‘What genre are your novels?’ because honestly, he never writes with any particular style in mind. He enjoys blending styles and mashing different genres together in interesting ways. Basically, he pens whatever is in his heart and soul. However, if he had to describe his style, he would use musical terms and say that he writes Urban, Hip-Hop fiction with the rhythm of Reggae that crashed into Heavy Metal and then began to bleed Neo-Soul. He calls it Alternative Urban Fiction

We discuss his writing career and get in between the pages of Hurricane Love and The War Angel Trilogy.
